Senior Accountant The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Accountant, working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Massachusetts Assists in the preparation of the US GAAP financial statements, reviews and interprets financial requirements, rules, and regulations. Assists in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. Assists in the setup and/ or maintenance of processes, procedures, and controls that properly capture, track and report financial results, in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley, U.S. GAAP, and company policies Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems and processes: journal entries, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivables, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Accruals, etc. Reconciles balance sheet and applicable income statement accounts with supporting documentation. Conducts month-end balance sheet and income statement variance analysis. Provides documentation to auditors (internal and external) and provides support for footnotes disclosure support for financial reporting purposes. Experience Required for Your Success BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred 3 to 5 years accounting experience; recent public accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting and reporting systems Demonstrated advanced technical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting/reporting rules Experience working in or auditing a SOX compliant environment required Experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
