Working within the framework of established operating procedures, this position is accountable for the administration of client accounts and system data security. This position is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of administrative documentation and the training of new Security Administration staff.Reporting to the Director, CPMO the Senior Business Analyst provides data and financial analyses, facilitation, insights to the corporate portfolio. This individual supports the cross-functional Point32Health portfolio management process, working with the CPMO, IT and other key functions to provide analysis to support the development, monitoring and recalibration of the portfolio. A key aspect of this role is supporting business partners across the organization to ensure that the Point32Health corporate portfolio is well-planned and appropriately prioritized, measured, and executed.
The Senior Business Analyst will take a lead role in creating executive presentation to support project approvals, and once approved, ensuring smooth transition to handoff to project execution team. The Senior Business Analyst is an active member of the CPMO community, helping to support the creation and training of processes, continuation towards department goals and KPIs. A strong forward-thinking mindset is required to develop and implement processes that support continual improvement of portfolio and business planning. -Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing

  • Create CPMO programs and reports, to support ongoing and ad-hoc analyses, such as: Monitoring business capacity, tracking implemented initiatives for return on investment, and overall portfolio support analyses.
  • Act as a primary point of contact to guide business partners though Business Planning. Including: Process and portfolio management system support. Provide advice backed by best practice.
  • Intake project opportunities and manage the project approval pipeline.
  • Work with Business partners to build strong value statements.
  • Partner with Business and Strategy team to prioritize.
  • Work with Business, IT and vendor managers to understand cost of projects.
  • Ensure there is capacity to staff candidate projects.
  • Build Cost Benefit Analysis (CBAs) and create tools to ensure most valuable work is approved.
  • Track approved projects that make up the portfolio.
  • Status, start/end date and costs.
  • Progress against schedule/financial commitments.
  • Benefit realization. Includes gathering mid-project benefit realization metrics to ensure portfolio heath. At end of project, partner with business to update cost benefit analysis and report on outcomes vs plan
  • Work with the CPMO to understand corporate capacity and develop models to identify multiple scenarios of business plans and work with finance to model the financial impact of such scenarios. -Qualifications - what you need to perform the job
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information System, or related fields, MBA preferred
    • 5-8 years of experience in health industry.
    • 5-8 years of experience in using analytical tools to analyze complex data sets Data and/or analytic experience preferred.
    • Broad knowledge of the health insurance industry and its customers preferred
    • Expertise in strategy development, planning, and the development of business analyses and reporting
    • Experience leading teams and projects
    • Strong analytic skills: Ability to extract and integrate data from various platforms or sources
    • Business analysis and development
    • Ability to synthesize information and develop insights
    • Demonstrated advanced facilitation skills
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
    • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
