Publications Lead Rare Diseases, Hematology & Transplant where you
will define and drive publication strategic plan(s) based on
medical and evidence generation strategies, and data generation
tactics and availability; and may include marketed products or
pipeline assets. The Publication Lead acts as a key member to the
Global Medical Strategy Team and as the Product/Asset Publication
Team Lead. You will also implement strategic, compliant and
fit-for-purpose publication plans collaborating with all levels of
Medical Affairs (i.e., global, regional, local), Clinical, and
Global Evidence Outcomes. Leadership, digital innovation in
scientific publications and solid communication skills are required
to ensure of execution the global publication plan. As part of
Publications, you will report to the Publications Group Lead and
work with the Publications team and the Global Product Strategy
team(s).How you will contribute:
- The assigned publication programs will be global, may be
complex, and of business importance to Takeda and Takeda's
reputation, requiring multi-functional leadership experience to
achieve program goals
- Ensure Takeda's company-sponsored publication activities are
conducted according to good publication practices (including ICMJE,
GPP3, CONSORT, etc) and Takeda's Global Publication Standard, SOP,
and applicable practice guidelines.
- Develop and manage product/disease area Global Publication
Strategies and Plans with relevant Global Medical Teams.
- Demonstrate functional level leadership with the ability to
inspire, motivate and drive results
- Excellent communicator, able to persuasively convey both ideas
and data, verbally and in writing to internal and external
stakeholders (authors, Publication Steering Committees, asset
Publication team)
- Proven skills as an effective team player who can engender
credibility and confidence within and outside the company
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions, regions and
cultures
- Ability to distill complex issues and ideas down to simple
comprehensible termsMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- A relevant healthcare degree (M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D., MS or RN).
Knowledge of scientific publication planning approaches is
required
- 7 years publication experience in medical communication
agencies or biopharmaceutical industry within a matrix
structure.
- 3 years of experience in a medical affairs role (e.g. Medical
Information, Medical Communications, Medical Education,
Publications, Evidence Generation)
- Experience with variety of data types and outputs clinical
trial reports, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, patient reported
outcomes; data presentation, and interpretation
- A mindset for diversity and inclusion and can role model these
behaviors for the organization
- Experience managing vendors and complex projects
- Experience in Rare Diseases, Hematology or Transplant
preferred
