Boston-area, MA-based Energy Services Company seeks an Experienced Sales Engineer/ Technical Sales Professional to join our growing team! Hunt for leads and close projects with customer solutions to drive company revenue. This is a work from home position, with occasional meetings at the office and a few potential overnights for travel annually.


Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers in a professional manner

Territory is New England

Prospect and contact potential customers to develop leads. This is a hunter position, though there is an outsourced outbound marketing for lead generation: emails, phone and appointment setting. Repeat business is a high percentage of the work.

Close projects presented to clients. A high close rate is desired to make best use of company resources

Reach agreed upon annual sales targets

Resolve customer inquiries

Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments

Assist to create sales material to present to customers

Maintain an Outlook Calendar with detailed sales activities logged


Record of Strong Prospecting/Lead Generation/Closing Sales

Technical, financial and computer sales skills proficiency is required.

Knowledge of Hubspot or other CRM a plus or aptitude/willingness to learn

Must have financial literacy and ability to sell based on project financial benefits

Ability to build rapport with clients and identify their budgets, needs and goals

Strong negotiation skills

Deadline and detail-oriented

Must be transparent and accountable for where time is spent and what the outcome is

Desire to sell projects and earn commissions

Experienced, self-driven Outside Sales Professional (OSP) to identify and sell energy efficiency projects to Large Commercial & Industrial customers in MA & NE. EE measures include lighting, HVAC & controls. Written, verbal and financial communication shall be of a professional and high technical caliber. Ideal candidate brings network/book of business. Provides leads, but majority of lead generation is the key responsibility. You will also be responsible for lead qualification, customer education/sales, high close rate and financial literacy. Requirement for for real-time reporting of schedule and activities via MS Outlook and Excel-based Sales reports.

BS degree preferred; Tech. degree optimal. 7 yrs+ of tech sales with documented sales results track record required. Salary plus commissions & benefits.
