Job Description:
CHEP, a global leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking an
experienced Automation Technician to join our Engineering &
Maintenance department. This role is critical in supporting CHEP's
commitment to the efficient management, maintenance, and
transportation of pallets and containers. The Automation Technician
will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining our automated
systems, ensuring the highest levels of operational performance and
sustainability. This position offers an opportunity to be an

dedicated to global sustainability. Perform routine maintenance and
troubleshooting of automated machinery and equipment. Coordinate
with the engineering team to enhance system performance and
sustainability initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety
regulations and company standards. Document maintenance schedules
and inventory of supplies. Assist in the training of staff on new
technologies and systems. Analyse system data and recommend
improvements. Strong understanding of automated systems and
robotics. Proficient in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Experience with programming PLCs and understanding of HMI. Ability
to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent
communication and teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Automation
Professional (CAP) preferred. Relevant safety certifications (e.g.,
OSHA 30-hour).
