Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Quality Engineering Manager, will be responsible for qualifying new platforms and

machine configurations; designing and developing automated testing for new platforms and incorporating them into

MathWorks development workflow; working with downstream teams to identify and resolve issues; participating in

design reviews; designing and developing test plans and automated tests; debugging and troubleshooting failures;

developing tools and processes to create and maintain test environment; and reporting defects and verifying fixes.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunication

Systems Management and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunication Systems

Management and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience testing test tool development

for test platforms.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise writing Python and Perl scripts for test tool development; and writing Java scripts for test

data visualization.

• Demonstrated expertise writing test plans for platform testing within a Linux or Windows environment.

• Demonstrated expertise in large scale virtual machine diagnostics including writing Perl scripts for maintenance,

performance, and testing; and in object-oriented design and analysis using Java and Perl.

• Demonstrated expertise debugging MATLAB test code using MATLAB debugger.
