Who we are looking forAs a Solutions Architect at State Street you will be part of an exciting transformation Global Banking Modernization program where you will drive innovative ideas to promote best-in-class solutions for the IT Delivery team to execute utilizing architecture diagrams and use case flows to represent solutions for business requirements. In this role you will analyze business requirements and perform gap analysis to drive the best solution options including building long-term strategic roadmaps for applications highlighting tradeoffs for the transitional architectures. You will review and monitor performance and resiliency of applications and recommend solutions for improvements. You will champion transitional architectures to enable successful migrations from current state to target state including defining reference and implementation architectures. Your leadership will promote that all implementation solutions support architecture objectives of availability, scalability, performance, security, maintainability, flexibility, portability, and reusability. This role can potentially be performed fully remotely from home within the United States.What you will be responsible forAs a Solutions Architect you willAssist with Proof of Concepts and prototype solutions in support of architectural recommendations and document comparative analysisPromote active/active designs, hot deployments, and production parallel testing implementations to provide resiliency and reduce risksIdentify opportunities for improvements of existing application architecturesWork with business analysts and business representatives to ensure that the business requirements (functional and non-functional) are fulfilled through proposed solutionsPromote prototypes in conjunction with the IT Delivery team that utilize new technologies and frameworksDetermine best solution design alternatives to utilize based on all identified constraints including available technology platforms, staff skills and availability, workload and prioritiesCommunicate relevant and timely information to Senior stakeholders for purposes of governance and risk mitigationEngage and evangelize recommendations to executive and senior client leadership teamsIdentify risk areas and provide alternate strategies to address concernsResearch and recommend best leverage of new and existing enterprise application technologiesWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleAbility to adapt to a fast-moving technology landscape and keep pace with the latest thinking and new technologiesProven experience with architecture frameworks such as API, SOA, and TOGAFAbility to intake client business vision and translate to technical solutions and architecture requirementsExcellent organizational, analytical, troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively communicate, collaborate, and build consensus across teamsEducation & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in related or relevant field5+ years' experience as a software developer5+ years' experience in architecture rolesExperience with private/hybrid/public cloud architecturesExperience with micro-services architecturesExperience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)Experience in working with distributed linux, IBM mainframe, HP Nonstop, and AIX platformsAdditional requirementsExperience in working at large financial services organizationsExperience with banking payment systemsAbility to make strong analytic decisions, including situations with ambiguity and/or uncertaintyKnowledge of the ISO 20022 banking payments standard messages and data modelsAre you the right candidate?
