Job DescriptionOur mission. Ark Behavioral Health is a network of Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Facilities that provide a variety of levels of care to those who are prepared to begin their journey toward recovery.We are looking for a full-time Compliance Director at Ark Behavioral Health in Quincy, Massachusetts.Job Description: The Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance provides oversight, leadership and direction for quality improvement and compliance initiatives throughout Ark National LLC facilities and reports to the COO or his designee. The Director serves as an organizational leader in the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of quality, patient safety and regulatory compliance. The Director leads change through continuous performance improvement methods that support ongoing regulatory readiness, creating safer systems of care to reduce medical error, and support clinical excellence and improved quality outcomes.The Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance acts as an expert resource across the organization overseeing complex projects to completion through team facilitation and team building. This role collaborates with leaders and staff and advises on matters of training, and regulatory standards. The Director actively leads interventions that reinforce and support a culture of compliance and safety. In close collaboration with the leadership team, the Executive Director is responsible for organization-wide survey readiness; oversees regulatory agency surveys and compliance visits including BSAS, Joint Commission, OSHA and others, develops/monitors action plans in response to opportunities for improvement. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Initiates, oversees, and integrates a comprehensive clinical patient safety program across multiple facilities and in multiple states
  • Acts as key resource in Quality and Compliance
  • Provides leadership to individuals and interdisciplinary teams assure oversight of process and outcome measures and assures reporting of quality measures in compliance with requirements.
  • Ensuring that all documentation requirements meet the standards of all of the Ark licensed, certified or accredited agencies.
  • Leads Quality Assurance activities, agendas, and processes.
  • Identifies root causes of deficiencies, reports activities to leadership, and facilitates action plan development to resolve and learn from occurrences.
  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative relationship with regulatory agencies
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of the Quality Assurance team.
  • May perform other job related duties as requested or required.Qualifications:
    • Must possess a relevant state regulations, certifying body standards and insurance requirement relative to quality and safety practices.
    • Possesses strong analytic skills, ability to interpret data; facility with using Excel.
    • Ability to demonstrate sound critical thinking/decision-making and ability to work with others to facilitate problem resolution for system improvement.
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills; highly developed organizational, interpersonal, and management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications is required. EDUCATION:
      • Minimum of a bachelor's degree with a strong preference for a master's Degree in a field related to a clinical, counseling or medical role in a SUD treatment field.
      • Certification and/or licensure in a clinical or counseling or medical (nursing) capacity preferredEXPERIENCE:
        • 3-5 years progressive experience in healthcare setting or regulatory body, preferably directly related to Quality and compliance
        • Experience in leadership roles including Risk, Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Regulatory compliance.
        • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.Why Work for Us!
