Military Veterans are Encouraged to Apply. -We are looking for a Pricing Manager who wants to be a part of our dynamic Pricing Strategy team that owns the core elements of our base pricing and promotional strategies and partners with the merchant teams to translate the strategies into simple and fair pricing for our customers. In this role, you will be the primary owner of pricing for our Fresh or Nonperishable merchant team; partnering with them to execute all elements of pricing in support of our strategy. You will collaborate with our analytics team to leverage our data rich environment to maintain and transform our pricing. We are looking for motivated leader with a passion for continuous improvement and a deep knowledge of pricing to support our business initiatives while developing our team members

What you'll do in this role:

  • Deepen your knowledge of pricing strategy and execution to delivery our pricing objectives and margin goals
  • Ownership of pricing execution is shared with the merchant teams. You will be responsible for coaching, teaching, and training the teams and ensuring pricing actions are in line with our strategy. Providing feedback to merchant teams to drive continuous improvement and manage change
  • Leading the execution of our pricing strategy for Nonperishable or Fresh, including directing pricing tests, identifying, and responding to competitive actions and providing clear guidance on the impact of pricing actions on margin
  • The Pricing Manager prepares and present to the leadership on our price and promotion strategic initiatives and progress on our pricing actions
  • Become a recognized subject matter expert in pricing to assist your business partners with clear and actionable recommendations that are made based on in-depth understanding and interpretation of analytics results
  • Pricing is a data-rich environment. You will leverage the analytics team to support the develop and refinement the core elements of our pricing strategy and develop real time insights to guide our pricing actions

    Essential Skills

    • Knowledge of retail pricing and experience implementing and shaping price and promotional strategies and tactics
    • Ability to leverage expansive data sets to develop insights on pricing strategies and tactics for a differentiated product offering
    • A passion for learning and continuous improvement
    • Ability to assess and manage the financial impact of pricing decisions and evaluate margin performance in partnership with Finance
    • 3 - 5 years combined experience in retail, category, merchandising, pricing, finance, or business analytics
    • Strong MS excel skills with understanding of data structures, relationships, and integration patterns
    • Comfortable communicating with and presenting to all levels within the organization and strong organization skills
    • Experience with Revionics or other price / promotional solutions a plus
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
    • A motivated team player to support the success of our team, our business partners and have fun doing it
