Will lead and manage a team of analysts of varying levels in the execution of product development, user acceptance testing, and competitor analysis. These projects will drive strategy and support business objectives across functional areas such as product development, pricing sophistication, user experience, and ease of doing business with the aim of maintaining profitability growth within each line of business. This professional will hire, develop and retain a high performing team.As part of the CL management team, this individual will own strategic product decisions and collaborate with leadership to sustain profitable growth. Will also provide recommendations for key areas to improve and expand the competitiveness of CL's product offerings. Furthermore, the CL Product Manager will support ongoing technology projects such as the migration of our CPP product to our policy administration system. Keeps abreast of program updates around rating and coverage and proactively implements changes with assistance from Actuarial, Legal, Claims, and IT. Collaborates with Underwriting and Operations to improve processes and monitor the quality and accuracy of quoting and policy issuance and maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve high performing results through proactive management of product analysts teamTrain and develop current team and recruit new hires as neededConduct performance reviews and recommend salary adjustments, promotions and transfers, etc.Monitor the quality and productivity of work within their teamRecommend and implement changes on an on-going basis for improvementKeep abreast of filings and industry trends that could affect underwriting or product complianceDeliver quality control programs, both externally and internally focusedGuide the research, analysis, and recommendations for final rate picks and product coveragesLead and guide team in working with IT to manage projects, enhancements, and fixesProvide recommendations for the prioritization of work and escalates issues and decision points as neededCollaborate with CL Underwriting on appetite, guidelines, desired segment mix, and profit improvementProvides support on the development of state and line of business strategiesDirect product analysts on competitive research activities and identify opportunities within mix of businessSupport and collaborate with agencies and other Arbella departments to:Provide subject matter expertise regarding product details such as rates, rules, forms, & complianceDevise product and ease of doing business improvementsControl and budget expenses accordinglyActs as a point person for third party vendors and partners are assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree required5+ years of progressive experience in a leadership position, preferably managing a product teamDemonstrated knowledge of Commercial Lines including pricing, product, underwriting, & competitive analysisExperience working with technology teams, DOIs, and legal counselExperience interpreting management information reports and other business intelligence#LI-MG1
