Our newest Courtyard property features a modern, sophisticated
design that marries our urban location with a tranquil energy. With
14-stories, 220 rooms, 2500 sq. ft. of meeting space & "The Bistro"
restaurant, we are offering an opportunity for a Director of Sales.
Just a short commute away, we are conveniently located within close
proximity to Bostons North Station and all major highways.
Position Overview:
In this highly visible leadership role, the ideal candidate will
have a dynamic selling background, be results-driven, and have
excellent knowledge of the local market as well as assist in
leading the hotel to a successful and profitable operation.
Essential Job Functions:
-Direct the efforts of the sales staff through effective oral and
written communication while overseeing rate, date and space
commitments for group room sales within the property.
-Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the
operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to,
the Annual and Monthly Forecast, Monthly Asset, Marketing Budget,
Lead Management System, Star Reports and Sales Meeting minutes.
-Sell and detail groups greater than twenty guest rooms on peak.
The markets include corporate, government, and SMERF.
-Oversee and manage the hotels business travel program, by
solidifying annual contracts with local and global accounts.
-Oversee the execution of the catering department, ensuring that
all protocols and procedures are met daily.
-Complete Marriotts MarRFP process annually to secure top producing
corporate accounts in the market.
-Plan and present proposals, maintain well-organized documents and
reports.
-Provide coaching, counseling and direction while motivating the
sales team and maintaining a positive morale.
-Attend trade shows and other promotional events to solicit new
business.
-Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect
market trends and related information for development of new
marketing strategies.
-Analyzes and understands the competition's strengths and
weaknesses for each market segment and successfully directs
marketing activities against each.
-Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to
prospective clients.
-Initiate preparation of computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan
and execute plans as outlined, adjusting as deemed necessary by
current market conditions.
-Conducts site inspections with prospective customers.
-Manage the social media representative to ensure that the hotels
platforms remain current and are portrayed accurately.
-Oversee the hotels partnerships with local businesses in the
neighborhood.
-Maintain an active role in all sales team hiring, training and
development.
-Ensure training programs are conducted regularly and Fontainebleau
Development standards of performance are met.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
