Job Description:
The MassHealth Enrollment Center (MEC) service as the front door
for consumer access to MassHealth's varied programs and services.
The Assistant Director helps lead and manage staff determining
eligibility and providing services for MassHealth members. To meet
the challenges of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the rules and
regulations of MassHealth, the Assistant Director will help
implement new technologies, develop and adopt new procedures and
change the way we do business. It requires strong leadership skills
to manage change and the ability to build and motivate individual
staff and teams. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a
general summary and not all inclusive): * Assist the Director of
the Quincy MassHealth Enrollment Center to lead the office and
provide clear direction for staff. * Help to manage the
introduction of new technology, strategic plans, improved business
processes and challenges * Help to improve customer service and
member experience * Manage a group of Team Leaders and ensure the
effective delivery of MassHealth programs and services to members *
Help lead, support, and create a positive/motivating work
environment for staff of approximately 80 professional and
administrative employees * Communicate with various external
providers, advocates, and members to resolve eligibility questions
and assure continuity of services * Manage, collect, and report
statistical data * Provide quality assurance and internal
productivity status using spreadsheets and databases systems *
Handle labor relations issues * Organize regular meetings with team
leads and mentor them * Ensure that all staff correctly and
consistently implement all National Voter Registration Act (NVRA)
policies and procedures *Preferred Qualifications: * * Strong,
demonstrated management and leadership skills, and significant
management experience in health care or other human services field
* Knowledge of change management * The ability to build and
motivate teams effectively * Sound judgment, analytical skills, and
creativity * Excellent verbal and written communication skills *
Ability to prioritize, balance multiple assignments and adjust to
changing circumstances * Ability to manage relationships in a high

part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial
experience in business administration, business management, public
administration, public management, clinical administration or
