Job Description:

Identifies, extracts, and processes the data needed to train AI algorithms, using Hive, Spark, PostgreSQL, and SQL. Develops strategies for new financial planning related Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled experiences. Develops and implements policies, standards, and procedures for the architectural, scientific, and technical work performed to ensure regulatory compliance and operation enhancements. Identifies and prioritizes AI driven opportunities. Develops and sizes the market and the client opportunity value of AI solutions and designs, develops, and maintains those solutions and experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directs technical and product development experiences in data analytics, data science, AI, and cloud.

Reviews project activities and prepares and reviews research, testing, and operational reports.

Plans and directs research, development, and production activities.

Provides financial planning and wellness advice leveraging data insights across channels.

Designs and develops data extraction and transformation pipelines, using Nifi, Spark, Hive, and Flink.

Develops data inputs for AI algorithms using multiple dimensionality reduction techniques,

Designs and trains Machine Learning (ML) algorithms using techniques -- linear regressions, SVM, decision trees, random forests, and neural networks.

Designs, integrates, and refines algorithms to classify and predict client behavior including linear, logistic, SVM regionssion, KMeans, KNN cluster, random forest decision tress, and neural networks.

Applies output from new algorithms in front-end experience and application layers by building and connecting APIs to recommendation engines, campaign/tagging frameworks, context metadata, data storage, regulatory archives, batch and streaming processes, and existing APIs.

Creates pipelines for algorithm design and experimentation.

Evaluates existing and potential data sources and strategic data architecture to determine potential opportunities for new planning insights.

Extends natural language processing (NLP) capabilities related to financial planning topics within front-end client experiences.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Health Informatics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience developing strategies and initiatives and leading an interdisciplinary team to build and launch enterprise software applications.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Health Informatics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience developing strategies and initiatives and leading an interdisciplinary team to build and launch enterprise software applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing, analyzing, and evaluating supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms -- regression, decisions trees/random forest, neural networks, feature selection/reduction, clustering, and parameter tuning -- using R, Python, PySpark, Scala, Java, C++, C#, and C programming languages.

DE designing and developing data pipelines, using batch and real-time data pipeline tools (Google Cloud DataFlow, Kinesis, and IBM Streams) and open source frameworks (Apache Spark Streaming and Storm and Kafka streams); performing data visualization, interactive exploration, and model development and deployment, using data science platforms on Cloud -- IBM Watson data platform.

DE cleansing data, using Python, Hive, and Spark; constructing feature engineering routines using Python; performing data wrangling and warehousing, and data and application integration, using advanced transformation techniques (from SQL, Hive, or Impala) and Big Data; and performing natural language processing to create data sets for statistical models and machine learning using Python.

DE building the vision, strategy, and roadmap of AI products in platform level products or services, using Microsoft Office, Aha!, ProductPlan, and Roadmunk; identifying data strategies and leading a product team to build new AI technologies, services, and platforms for enterprise software; taking AI products to market and driving clients adoption; and leading an interdisciplinary team to build and launch artificial intelligence enabled experiences.
