We are seeking a Clinician who is passionate about providing a hand
up to veterans and their families in times of need.
As Clinician you'll have a dynamic and critical role in our
Behvioral Health Clinic providing mental health services, substance
use, and co-occurring treatment services for veterans within the
clinic, within the community, and at extended our care facilities.
You'll make an impact creating treatment plans that provide the
level of support needed by each individual and provide care using
various treatment modalities, including Trauma Informed Care and
Harm Reduction.
This role is about making a difference in the lives of the people
we serve. You'll bring the following qualifications:
Must have a 60 credit Master's Degree from an accredited MA
Institution with a focus in mental health counseling, social work,
psychology, or a related human services field. Masters program must
have included an internship.
Licensed candidates (LMHC, LICSW, and LADCI) must hold an active
license in MA
Unlicensed candidates must be eligible for licensure by timeline
set for each licensure track.
Experience in the evaluation, treatment, and care planning of
individuals with mental health, substance use, dual diagnosis, and
co-occurring disorders; specialty in treating veteran
counseling.
Demonstrated excellent written and communication skills.
Computer skills required to learn electronic medical record
system.
Also, the following experience is preferred:
Diagnosing substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or
co-occurring disorders
Experience providing treatment of substance use disorders including
but not limited to: CBT, motivational interviewing, Dialectical
Behavior Therapy, or other person-centered approaches
Knowledge of substance use modalities, harm reduction approaches,
trauma informed care, whole person health approaches, dual
diagnosis, and commitment to meeting the needs of the most
vulnerable.
Key Responsibilites:
Deliver psychotherapy services at assigned location to individuals,
couples, families, and groups that consist of person(s) served who
are veterans. Treatment focuses on mental health, substance use,
and co-occurring disorders; with a specialty in veteran counseling.
Treatment approaches are constructed around EBP's and clinically
indicated for diagnosis of person(s) served.
Clinicians maintain an average billable case load of 30 hours per
week.
Serve as part of the 24/7 mobile crisis team to ensure that persons
served who are veterans are being provided crisis intervention
services, brief supportive psychotherapy, and timely assessments to
triage and refer to providers based on acuity need. May intervene
in emergency or crisis situations according to 24/7 mobile crisis
protocol.
Serve as part of the integrated services care team with VOAMASS and
multidisciplinary review team to enhance persons served experiences
and maintain agency compliance with state regulations and mental
health professional standards.
Provide consultation and training to clinical staff as member of
the integrated service team.
Complete documentation such as progress notes, individualized
action plans, and other clinical paperwork and ensure documentation
meets regulations.
Coordinates with external agency sources in order to create, build,
and strengthen a collaborative relationship with external
agencies.
Provides other services as may be requested.
Hours:
Full-Time - Monday through Friday.
