Dental Hygienist In Friendly, Laid-Back Office!



We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! We are a general dentistry office, treating mostly adults and some children over the age of 8. Hygiene appts are a full hour.



We have a need for Tuesdays and Fridays only at this time. Patients are scheduled 8am to 5pm with a one hour lunch break. We conveniently located near the Alewife T station and have plenty of free parking.



You'll conduct dental cleanings, provide important oral health education, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Job seekers should have incredible customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent dental services. We are a smaller office and rely on good teamwork to make our days run more smoothly. Responsibilities:

--- Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified
--- Aid dentists by deliberating the best way to treat a variety of dental disease
--- Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
--- Provide post-operative health education to patients so they can take practice good dental care at home after procedures
--- Prevent tooth decay by providing a thorough dental cleaning and applying protective sealants, such as fluoride


Qualifications:

--- Superb customer service and communication skills
--- Current CPR certification
--- In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
--- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred, associate's degree required
--- Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene
--- An active Massachusetts dental hygiene license is required for this position.
