Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • House Supervisor/ED Traveler position requiring supervisory experience • Work in 10-bed emergency department with typical census of 8-15 patients per 24-hour period • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed • No on-call responsibilities • 8-hour non-billable orientation required • Must have minimum 5 years recent inpatient experience • Current supervisory experience within 6 months required • Critical Access facility experience required • CERNER EMR experience required (non-negotiable) • Travel experience preferred • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC • Vermont RN License or Compact license required • Skills checklists for Emergency Room and Supervisory positions required (current within 1 year) • Must have own vehicle as facility is in small community without public transport • Local travelers within 50 miles not eligible • Maximum 5 days requested time off accepted (must be noted at upload) • 3-strike attendance policy enforced - call-offs must be communicated 1.5 hours in advance • Work with physician assistants and treat patients of all ages • Must demonstrate critical thinking, quick prioritization, and ability to restructure plans by the minute • Strong communication skills and ability to handle unplanned situations and difficult patient/family behaviors Facility: This healthcare facility is a Critical Access hospital known for its efficient emergency department services with a growing reputation for short wait times, seeing almost all patients within 30 minutes or less.
