Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Medical Unit – New Hampshire Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend, or four-week rotation options Highlights: 20-bed Cardiac Medical Unit specializing in cardiac step-down, med/surg telemetry, and stroke overflow 5:1 patient ratio with strong team support including charge nurse, LNAs, and unit clerk Diverse case mix including CHF, COPD cardiac management, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen and BiPap, thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomies, pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, and CIWA protocols Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system Facility designated as STEMI Hospital, Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center Bedside shift rounds and handoff for enhanced patient experience Requirements: Active RN license ACLS and BLS certifications required Proficiency in telemetry monitoring is essential Experience with cardiac step-down or progressive care strongly preferred Ability to manage high-acuity cardiac and medical patients Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic cardiac medical unit with a comprehensive case mix and advanced cardiac capabilities.
