Description: This position is for an Adult Psychiatric Registered
Nurse. The unit is a 30-bed facility for adults aged 18 to 65.
Patients are treated for diverse mental health issues, including
anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar
disorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnoses. Some
patients may have acute medical needs requiring IVs, CPAPs, wound
care, and diabetic care. The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1 RN to
7 or 8 patients. Rotating shifts will be required, with schedules
including daytime and overnight shifts. There is a need for
flexibility in scheduling, as shifts may vary. Training for AVADE
and EKG will be provided on-site. Knowledge of mental health laws
and regulations is important. Understanding the rights of
inpatients, including issues related to restraint and seclusion, is
essential. Familiarity with guardianship laws and healthcare proxy
issues is necessary. Additional training may also be offered as
