Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work day/night rotation schedule • 36 hours per week guaranteed • On-call responsibilities required • Care for patients on 36-bed adult surgical unit • Focus on mobilizing and rehabilitating patients as primary goal • Manage chest tubes, various tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients • Administer drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone • Provide care for patients with trachs and laryngectomies • Monitor telemetry and manage complex wound care • Maintain central lines and perform blood draws • Care for primarily orthopedic and trauma patients • Handle other specialties including plastics and general surgery patients • Work in very busy unit environment with high patient acuity Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive adult surgical unit specializing in orthopedic and trauma care, along with other surgical specialties including plastics and general surgery.
