The 24-bed inpatient unit maintains flexibility to adjust bed allocation between pediatric and adolescent populations based on admission patterns. The facility utilizes Cerner Powerchart EMR system and provides comprehensive support staff including nursing, social work, and technical staff. About the Facility Location North Carolina offers diverse attractions ranging from natural wonders to entertainment destinations throughout the region. About the Clinician‘s Workday The position involves providing comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents on a 24-bed unit that can flex between pediatric and adolescent populations. Clinicians work 10-hour shifts in a mostly 7 on/7 off schedule, handling 1-3 admissions daily with the remainder consisting of follow-up care. The C&A psychiatrist on call manages all consults and evaluations for the day, while other physicians cover follow-up patients and unit management. Call responsibilities include psychiatric consultations from Emergency Department admissions, with no callback requirements after leaving the facility. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: 18 Support Staff: The unit census is 24- split between two docs and 1 APP Patient Population: Children Call Ratio/Schedule: 10-hour shifts, mostly 7 on/7 off, call coverage for a portion of the week.
