Job Description Veterinary Surgeon (Board Certified) Westford, MA Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center is seeking a board-certified Veterinary Surgeon to join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in Westford, MA. As a Veterinary Surgeon with Westford, you will have the opportunity to perform complex surgical procedures including orthopedic, thoracic, abdominal, and emergency surgeries all while working in a high-level referral hospital environment managing challenging and rewarding cases. Position Highlights Schedule: Full Time or Part Time. Willing to work with the right candidate to create a schedule that meets both the needs of the hospital and the candidate Environment: Specialty and emergency referral hospital with advanced surgical capabilities Clinical Impact & Responsibilities Perform advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries Manage complex referral and emergency surgical cases Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams on patient care Develop surgical plans using advanced diagnostics and imaging Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management Communicate treatment plans with pet owners and referring veterinarians Mentor clinical staff and participate in hospital rounds and continuing education Help develop and refine surgical protocols, reporting standards, and quality controls. Participate in clinical case reviews, discussions, and continuing education initiatives.
