Temp - PT - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Lowell, MA

What You'll Do:

• Perform comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and develop personalized care plans for patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs.
• Implement evidence-based clinical interventions, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device support.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and document outcomes in compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers to promote optimal recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and ensure thorough communication regarding patient care.
• Support supervision of rehabilitation aides, students, and support staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings, trainings, and conferences.

Required Skills:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Proven experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or a similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of wound care, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Additional certifications in wound care or specialized therapies.
• Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with relevant clinical experience.
• Prior work experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work weekdays with daytime hours.
• Willingness to obtain any necessary DME or supplies.
• Commitment to adhering to APTA codes, state practice acts, and ethical standards.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain certifications related to treatment modalities or specialties.
