* Senior J2EE Developer * North Quincy, Massachusetts* * * Senior J2EE Developer (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, MA): will work with and lead multiple blended teams of developers to support multiple complex financial services platforms. The position requires excellent programming skills in J2EE, Rules Spring framework, BPM, Cloud UI, AJAX, JMS, ORM technologies (e.g., Hibernate, XML), enterprise caching, various Open Source (e.g., TomCat, Jboss) and best of breed commercial products and scripting languages, and in-depth knowledge of related enterprise best practices standards and libraries.Specific duties of the position include: Developing State Streets proprietary Enterprise Services software, including Messaging Bus, BPM, Cloud Common, and UI Alert, as well as Event Report Web Services and security solutions; envisioning, architecting, designing, and implementing financial systems software across front, middle, and back office; working closely with clients, other subject matter experts, and the technology team to understand business requirements, establish priorities and project scope, and manage expectations and project delivery; assessing the performance of financial software systems, diagnosing performance problems, and using tools to monitor and tune performance; and understanding software engineering disciplines with object-oriented designs, design patterns, enterprise patterns, and performance analysis techniques; serving as a technology leader in order to build and maintain a high-level of technical architecture and business credibility with business users, system developers, and operations staff; developing Enterprise Common Service Frameworks including Messaging Bus, BPM, Cloud, Common UI, Alert/Event, Report, Web Services, and Security solutions; successfully realizing business opportunities via timely delivery and cost-efficient IT systems, promoting the tenet of service-oriented architecture and reuse of existing assets by standardizing, commoditizing and automating system and business processes to drive cost efficiencies; collaborating and leading multiple blended teams of full-time employees and onshore and offshore contractors operating at multiple locations across time zones; and researching and developing new technologies including POCs and production systems.Minimum requirements are: Bachelors degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, or related field; and 10 years of experience in Enterprise-level architecture/development at a large financial institution.Must have: Demonstrated programming skills in J2EE Rules Spring framework, BPM Cloud UI, AJAX, JMS, ORM, and technologies like Hibernate XML Enterprise, caching various Open Source like TomCat, Jboss, and best of breed commercial products scripting languages with in-depth knowledge of related enterprise best practices standards and libraries; demonstrated experience in JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, AngularJs, and ReactJS; demonstrated experience with web-services and knowledge of SOA standards and other approaches to service-oriented integration source code management including continuous integration and automated testing; demonstrated experience in developing modern process driven applications using BPM; proven understanding of Software Engineering disciplines with Object Oriented design patterns, Enterprise Patterns, and performance analysis techniques; strong knowledge and development experience in Database design and coding; and demonstrated experience in Agile andtest-driven development.
