Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution across the United States, is seeking a motivated Entry Level CDL Driver for our Black River operations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of over 150,000 food and related products to our diverse clientele, ranging from small family-owned restaurants to large nationwide chains. As an Entry Level CDL Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, adhering to transportation laws and regulations, and maintaining delivery documentation. This role is vital in upholding Performance Foodservice’s commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. Operate a commercial vehicle to transport food and related products to various customer sites. Check vehicle pre-and post-trip for safety issues and perform minor repairs if necessary. Load and unload cargo while ensuring the security of the load. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer information. Adhere to all safety and DOT regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries. Handle invoices and other documentation related to the cargo. Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Good time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
