Job Description:
Performance Foodservice is seeking a diligent and energetic
individual to join our team as a Night Shift Loader in our
Transportation & Logistics department. This role is paramount in
ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of food products for
distribution. Working closely within our warehouse operations, you
will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of delivering
top-quality products to our vast network of customers. This
position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the
ability to adapt to dynamic work environments. Load and unload food
and related products onto trucks for delivery using hand trucks,
pallet jacks, or forklifts. Verify order accuracy and ensure safe
handling to prevent damage. Organize and stage outgoing shipments
and manage warehouse space efficiently. Follow safety guidelines
and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate
with supervisors and peers to coordinate loading activities and
meet departure deadlines. Ability to operate warehouse machinery
such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong organizational skills to
effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. Excellent physical
stamina and lifting ability, as the job requires handling heavy
materials. Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.
