Responsibilities: The Automation Specialist role is a part of the Digital Enablement & Automation Services team. Automation Specialists will use a variety of approaches to support the team’s work, such as robotic process automation (RPA), data extraction, business process management, process digitization and artificial intelligence. Team members are expected to build the skills required for success in the creation, advancement and maintenance of solutions developed utilizing these tools. The Automation Specialist will demonstrate their problem solving and analytical skills to design, develop, test, and deploy comprehensive solutions into production as well as ensuring the maintenance and stability of solutions in production. This individual works closely with Business Analysts as well as business line Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners to develop solutions that generate capacity for the organization. Qualifications: Experience 4 years of experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large scale .NET/Java centric enterprise application system Experience in software development process (agile/iterative approach preferred) Experience in PL/SQL and shell (Unix/Linux) scripting Experience in database Oracle or MS/SQL Experience in either JSP/Java script or any object-oriented programming language Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint Ability to work in a team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment Desired but not required: Blue Prism, UI Path, Automation Anywhere, WorkFusion, Softmotive Bizagi, Appian, Pega, Kofax Hyperscience, Abbyy, Ephesoft Skills/Knowledge TECHNICAL An understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram. Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to take a logical route to the source of an error. Understanding of process design documents and technical design documents in the automation space. Ability to improvise configuration/coding to new situations, new integrations and/or new products/interfaces within DE & AS software and tools. SOFT SKILLS Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to efficiently collaborate with business unit SME’s, Business Analysts, Infrastructure, Security, Third Party Vendors and End Users in multi-functional teams. Ability to work with limited supervision, balancing multiple projects and organizing time effectively.
