Takeda as a Senior Research Associate II where you will perform
complex cell based assay assignments independently in the field of
cell therapies for cancer drug discovery. You will also contribute
to experimental design and complex problem resolution within
project scope, and have relative experience on CAR production and
functional evaluation in vitro. As part of the Therapeutic
Generation and Screening team, you will report to the Senior
Scientist and work with the Global Biologics organization.How you
will contribute:
- Develop and implement bioanalytical strategies to support drug
programs (e.g. IO/GI/CNS/Rare disease) to enable lead
selection.
- Assist in experiment design, implement and troubleshoot
experiments and execute data analysis of high throughput cell based
assays to access biologics (e.g., mAb, T cell engagers) and cell
therapy new modalities (e.g., CAR-T, CAR-NK).
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify suitable
approaches to utilize laboratory automation for the execution of
variable cell based assays.
- CAR T/NK generation (stimulation, transduction and expansion)
and functional evaluation of CAR expression, phenotyping, cytokine
detection and killing potency in vitro.
- Use assigned literature to increase knowledge base and
implement improvements.
- Develop clear protocols and maintaining a timely and accurate
electronic lab notebook.
- Communicate research and development findings with internal and
external partners.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- MS in a cell immunology, protein/antibody science, molecular
biology, bioinformatics and/or equivalent relevant work experience
with 2+ years experience.
- BS in a cell immunology, protein/antibody science, molecular
biology, bioinformatics and/or equivalent relevant work experience
with 4+ years experience.
- Master degree in cell immunology, protein/antibody science,
molecular biology, bioinformatics and/or > 2 years equivalent
relevant work experience with strong knowledge of T/NK cell
biology, immuno-oncology, and cell therapy. Bachelor's degree with
> 6 years relevant experience.
- Tissue culture including application of aseptic techniques for
media compounding, passaging, maintenance and cryopreservation of
cell cultures.
- Experience with immune cell (T/NK cells) isolation, culture and
engineering.
- Proficiency in immune cell phenotyping (surface/intracellular),
cytokine detection (multi-color flow cytometry, Luminex),
cytotoxicity assay and other immune related assays.
- Proficient in data generation (prism, excel), presentation and
troubleshooting.
- Basic molecular biology skills are required, advanced skills
highly desired.
- Experience with viral delivery methods is a plus.
- Experience performing and interpreting transcriptomics with
bulk RNAseq and scRNAseq systems to interrogate biological
mechanisms in cell lines is a plus.
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
- Capable to work independently to solve scientific
questions.
- Dedication to working in a team-oriented environment to
contribute to shared projects.
- Develop and oversee novel scientific projects and will manage
