Takeda as an Associate Scientist where you will perform a variety
of routine and specialized experimental procedures for the purpose
of research in the immuno-oncology field.. You will also contribute
to establishing new experimental methods and technologies in the
lab. As part of the Immuno-Oncology Innovation lab, you will report
to Senior Scientist, Emily Roberts.How you will contribute:
- Partner with teams to execute decision allowing preclinical
experiments to better understand drug target mechanisms of action
and validation for I/O therapeutic application
- Independently and collaboratively design and execute a variety
of assays to understand targets of interest for I/O
applications
- Use technical literature to implement novel procedures, changes
and improvements within a project. Can duplicate and modify
experimental procedures based on the literature
- Contribute to and implement new ideas with in vitro and in vivo
proof of concept studies to promote initiation of new discovery
project concepts using scientific theory and technical
literature
- Extend internal immunology capabilities through external
industrial (CRO)
- Assist with execution of specific research procedures,
coordinating schedules of experiments and procedures (-75% of time
in the laboratory).
- Compile data from complex experiments, execute analysis and
communicate findings through presentation format
- Demonstrate knowledge of in vitro experiments with hands-on
experience and mastery
- Mastery of cell-based and molecular assays relevant to IO and
Oncology research.
- Manage research performed at CROs.
- Experimentally independent
- Conduct scientific presentations to internal audiences and
cross-functional teams.
- Engage in a collaborations with external researchers at other
companies such as CROs.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS in a scientific discipline, or equivalent with 8+ years'
experience, or MS in a scientific discipline, or equivalent, with
5+ years' experience
- Knowledge of immunological principles including prior
-experience carrying out data acquisition, analysis and
interpretation of molecular or cell-based assays and in vivo
experiments
- Independence with multiplexing immune profiling platforms (cell
separation, sterile culture, multi-dimension Flow cytometry,
Luminex, MSD).
- Independence in protein analytical methods (ELISA, Western
Blotting).
- Independence in molecular biology applications (DNA/RNA prep,
qPCR, nanostring)
