Job Description Salary: The National Fire Protection
Association---s mission is to help save lives and reduce loss with
information, knowledge and passion. An international self-funded
nonprofit established in 1896, we are dedicated to the elimination
of death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire,
electrical and related hazards. The Association delivers
information and knowledge through more than 300 consensus codes and
standards, research, training, education, outreach and advocacy;
and by partnering with others who share an interest in furthering
the NFPA mission. To better meet the needs of those who rely on our
information and knowledge to keep people and property safe, we are
amidst a transformation to expand our influence and further our
safety mission. We are becoming increasingly digital and global to
grow, thrive and save more lives from fire, electrical and other
hazards. To accomplish this, we need effective leaders at all
levels of the Association who understand what we are striving for,
why it is important, how to execute on our vision and who
passionately want to see NFPA through this important stage. It is
an exciting and empowering time to work at NFPA. NFPA is searching
for a talented and motivated Business Development Representative to
grow revenue and create a model customer experience. This candidate
is driven by sales and has an entrepreneur spirit for success. The
BDR is responsible for developing the sales funnel through lead
qualification, lead nurturing, prospecting, and other methods.
Additionally, they participate in customer onboarding, ensuring the
customer is delighted with our solution and is prepared to tackle
issues that arise. A Little Bit About You: You---ve earned your
bachelor---s degree plus 1-3 years of experience in territory,
account, funnel/pipeline management. CRM use? No problem for you
--- NetSuite knowledge is a plus Prospecting, seeking and
searching, repeat. You are highly skilled when it comes to moving
contacts from suspects to prospects. You have effective tools,
techniques and tips in your sales prospecting strategy. You
understand onboarding a new customer; you can plan, implement and
track the steps needed to deliver a seamless and successful
experience. An excellent communicator, collaborative teammate and
innovator You have a proven history in building productive, trusted
relationships with demonstrated positive outcomes. Decisions,
decisions, decisions. You think things through before you
implement. As a subject matter expert, you take pride in
troubleshooting and propose solutions based on your experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Superb problem solving and
decision-making execution skills. Confident, bold and assertive are
words used to describe your approach. With that said, you possess
an ability to build trust within a large and diverse environment.

Nitty Gritty: Qualify inbound leads, initiating relationships with
prospects and developing the sales funnel. Establish contact with
new business opportunities via various channels including websites,
social media, LinkedIn pages and means. Analyze market reports to
determine where to seek out new business. Direct customer
onboarding to ensure customer success and satisfaction. Gather
useful information from customer and competitor data. Responsible
for both pre and post sales, increasing sales velocity, win rate,
and ultimately customer satisfaction. Collaborate and utilize
resources and expertise within and outside the department.
