Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to lead the development of commercial lines products, participate in the analysis and implementation of regulatory matters and to contribute to the corporate initiatives that impact commercial lines growth and strategies. Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving and developing new commercial line products and coverage offerings to maintain profitable growth
• Monitor and analyze competitor and industry information on products, guidelines, rates, rules, procedures and report findings with recommendations
• ------Analyze complex statutory, regulatory and industry issues related to commercial lines
• ---Monitor performance of the commercial lines book of business including growth, trends and identify emerging issues
• Collaborate in the development, implementation, and communication of strategic action plans for commercial lines
• Provides technical advice and training to staff and other function areas
• ---Produce requirements and filings related to new products or programs
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to forms and policies for all lines of business
• Participate in company-wide projects as needed
• Conduct and attend meetings as a department liaison with regard to products, coverages, procedures and system issues Key Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the following commercial lines of business: following commercial lines of business: Commercial Package including Property and General Liability, Automobile, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Inland marine and Crime
  • Works independently and takes responsibility for actions and results
  • Well organized
  • Assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Issues are accurately assessed
  • Resolutions are based on thorough identification of pertinent issues and reflective of all organizational aspects
  • Testing efforts are thorough and accurate
  • Interactions with other departments indicate strong relationships and result in effective analysis and resolution of issues: Legal, Actuary, IT, Claims, Marketing, and Operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
